New Division Communication & Engagement Steps up

On 16 January 2012, a new division in the Headquarters of 1 (GE/NL) Corps was born; Communication and Engagement (C&E). It acts as a primary platform for external and internal communication, civil military interaction, information sharing and key actor engagement. The division combines capabilities in order to develop, synchronize and execute coherent messaging and communication with selected actors. 

An important aspect of the Comprehensive Approach is a good relationship with, and understanding of the civilian world. HQ 1 (GE/NL) Corps thinks this is so important that the HQ makes this visible in the organisation by creating the C&E division.

The birth of this new division is part of a bigger plan, the Corps Vision. A special team has already been busy for months designing the ideal organisation. 2012 will be an important year for experiments. The HQ is going to work with divisions differing from the well-known ’Support’, ’Operations’ and ’Rear Support Command’. The new divisions will be ’Operations & Training’, ’Resources’, ’Knowledge, Policy & Plans’ and ’Communication & Engagement’.
