Both are registered associations and non-profit organisations. The officers club is open for membership to all officers, civil servants of higher and upper intermediate grades and civilian employees in comparable pay grades. The NCO club is open for membership to all NCOs, civil servants of intermediate grades and civilian employees in comparable pay grades. Both clubs promote camaraderie among its members and provide the organisational framework for official social and representative events. Furthermore they enhance personal relations among members and their families by offering the opportunity to meet and to foster the relations between the HQ members of all nations and to the civilian community. Retirees are welcome

The Other Ranks Club, under the lead of a civilian concessionaire, is located only a few hundred metres away from the HQ at the Blücher barracks.

As an International Military Headquarters HQ 1 (GE/NL) Corps is entitled to receive deliveries and services without paying valuable added tax and may establish an exchange retail store for the benefits of its personnel. HQ 1(GE/NL) Corps operates a non-profitable exchange retail store, selling highly taxable and/or rationed goods, which means alcohol, perfume and tobacco products.
